Michael Stevens The female vocalist has an unusual voice - reminds me of Amy Winehouse in one of her songs. Good stuff. [2015]

Lute FP The music is excellent, roughly falling under the Alternative Rock or Indie banners, maybe even Pop, but it's the vocals which make this a standout. Coming across a bit like Amy Winehouse, but with a lovely quirk recalling Billie Holiday or Valerie June that I often refer to as "that squeaky thing". I love it!

Mubla Na Thguob This lady sure has an amazing voice. Watching the band's powerful live performances on Youtube has left me scratching my head as to why they're not more well known by now. I could speculate that they simply fall between genres. They're a mix of country, psychedelic, soul, and a few others at times, but never easily categorized. In the end though, it's just good music. Favorite track: Pride.

This is some great music for a morose, rainy day. Lush, sedate, bluesy, and with a certain apocalyptic flair, most evident on White Horses, which sounds very much like a psychedelic blues dirge. I appreciate that the songs sometimes lose themselves along the way, giving way to some beautiful psych explorations. I also enjoy the vocals on this - they sometimes waver, but they fit the music so well. Smekermann
